Oxford City and County Bowls Club is fortunate in having all-year-round bowling facilities. We have two outdoor greens, providing sufficient rinks for major matches and tournaments, and usually ample opportunity to enjoy roll-ups with friends. We also have a six-rink indoor green and some members prefer to bowl all year round on it. This means we can cater for bowlers with more serious interests in the sport but and also for members who just want to bowl for fun. Various kinds of membership are available; the choice is yours.  So you might be attracted by our full programme of formal bowls events, varying from national (Bowls England) to county (Bowls Oxfordshire), club competitive and friendly matches.  On the other hand, you might just want to bowl for pure leisure.

We cater also for non-bowlers who may just want to enjoy the benefits of being social members. For all members there is a varied programme of social functions such as crib, whist, bingo, Christmas draw, barbecues, horse race nights, theatre trips and informal dinners, all of which help to raise funds for the club. In addition there is now a full-sized snooker table and there will soon be an organized league.There are good areas for viewing bowls matches, both indoor and outdoor. Our clubhouse is well equipped with excellent bar and catering facilities, lockers, good changing rooms, comfortable lounge and viewing area, as well as ample car-parking space for members and visitors. Our facilities attract a large membership of some 500 members.

We particularly welcome new members, experienced bowlers, those completely new to bowling (if you would like to try out the sport, visit our Take up Bowling page) or those interested only in social membership. And we cater for all ages; we have a flourishing group of junior bowlers.

The club itself is open all day and every day, except at Bank Holidays.

Our catering facilities, including freshly cooked lunch, are available on the following weekdays:

Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays: 9.30 - 2.00

Tuesdays: 9.30 - 2.00 (Winter Season)

Wednesdays: Closed (open for Club fixtures only)

Note that catering facilities are also usually available on those Saturdays and Sundays when there are matches and competitions. Special arrangements are possible for groups of 12 or more. If in doubt, please phone the club in advance on 01865 554334 and ask for Jenny.
