Congratulations to Carterton on their impressive win of the OCC Tens Final which was played on Sunday 22nd March between OCC Blues (39) and Carterton (91)
Prize money of £300 goes to Carterton and £200 to OCC Blues. Thanks as always to Newbury Building Society for sponsoring this competition.
The Trophy was presented by OCC President Mick Aust.

Game: Each match consists of FOUR games, Singles, 4 wood Pairs, 3 wood Triples and Fours. All games will be played simultaneously. 2 TRIAL ENDS. Singles is first to 21 shots. All other games are 18 ends.
DEAD ENDS are allowed in the singles only. For all other games any jacks sent out of play are to be spotted.
Teams: A team must consist of 5 men and 5 ladies playing in any combination in the four games. Please bring substitute(s), as if a team is one player short the singles would be forfeited and a 10 shot penalty imposed. If a team fails to appear for any match the game will be awarded to their opponent who will receive 5 points.
Once a player has played a game for a team, he/she becomes ineligible to play a game for any other team for the remainder of that season.
If a team plays an ineligible player, all points will be awarded to the other side.
Between rounds: The team need not consist of the same players in each match and may be changed, in whole or part, providing that all players are bona fide members of the club for which they are playing and are not representing another team in the competition.
During the Game: If a player is taken ill or is injured during a game he/she may be replaced by a substitute from the same club. If the player affected is a skip, one of the remaining players shall take that position and the substitute may then play in one of the remaining positions in the Fours, Triples or Pairs. Substitution is allowed for the singles player.
Scoring: 5 points are available for each match. Teams are awarded 1 point for every game won. In the event of a drawn game each team will be awarded 0.5 point.
A further 1 point is awarded to the team who scores the most shots in the overall match. In the event of a draw on overall scores, each team will be awarded 0.5 point.
In the event of a tie on both points and shots there will be an extra end in the Pairs, Triples and Fours to decide the winning team. Shots do not count on these extra ends – only the result of the ends. 1 shot is awarded to the winning team. TOSS FOR THE MAT.
Competition Structure: The participating teams will play in a single league in a round robin format (all teams play one another once).
The ranking of teams will be determined by the total points scored after they have played all other teams. If teams are equal on points then the final placing in the table will be decided on shot difference.
1st and 2nd place teams will play a Final. Rules as above for all games, including the ‘NO DEAD ENDS’ rule.
All matches will be played at Oxford City & County Bowls Club on SUNDAYS STARTING AT 10AM.
The dress code is Registered Club Colours with Club Shirt. In the unlikely event of any problems arising, the OCC Tens committee will adjudicate, and their decision will be final.
One off entry fee – £20 per team – Match Fees – £45 per team payable on match days (PRIZE MONEY – Winners £300, Runners up £200).
