Hi one and all.  How is everyone holding up, good I hope.

PLEASE LET US BE ABLE TO BOWL OUTDOORS.  I PERSONALLY DON'T CARE WHAT THE WEATHER IS JUST LET'S BE DOING SOMETHING.

This year COVID RULES permitting I will be running the OUTDOOR Wednesday roll up from 10am to 12 and probably one on Mondays same time same place if I can get enough support.

Ring me on 01865 434006 if you are interested in a Monday roll up, it will give me a feel for numbers.  If you ring and I do not answer just leave me a yes and telephone number, I can then contact you when we start.

I have been enjoying the artistic talents of our members, I am really jealous I struggle to draw a straight line. Keep the pictures coming in please.

I am on the scrounge for 3 or 4 inch flower pots for my Sobell tomato plants.  If anyone has some let me know please.

What have I been doing over the past week or so made quite a bit of Marmalade as I keep a few folks in the village supplied.  A few of us have a system where by we swop plants and jam and various homemade produce.  David had pickled eggs a few weeks ago, disgusting things.

Lets hope for better weather and some good news for the outside season in the mean time

KEEP FIT KEEP WELL

Oh, and here's an extra for you to make you smile....

A Poem by Pam Ayres

I have a little Satnav, it sits there in my car.

A Satnav is a driver's friend it tells you where you are.

I have a little Satnav, I've had it all my life.

It's better than the normal ones, my Satnav is my wife.

It gives me full instructions, especially how to drive

"It's sixty miles an hour", it says, "You're doing sixty five".

It tells me when to stop and start, and when to use the brake.

And tells me that it's never ever, safe to overtake.

It tells me when a light is red, and when it goes to green.

It seems to know instinctively, just when to intervene.

It lists the vehicles just in front, and all those to the rear.

And taking this into account, it specifies my gear.

I'm sure no other driver, has so helpful a device.

For when we leave and lock the car, it still gives its advice.

It fills me up with counselling, each journey's pretty fraught.

So why don't I exchange it, and get a quieter sort?

Ah well, you see, it cleans the house, makes sure I'm properly fed.

It washes all my shirts and things, and keeps me warm in bed!

Despite all these advantages, and my tendency to scoff,

I only wish that now and then, I could turn the bugger off.
